Bach Cello Suite No. 1, Courante
Bach Cello Suite No. 1, Courante
A fast dance for overdressed 16th-century revelry. A terrific piece for bass clarinetists to play. But note: this is in Bass Clef and is NOT transposed. (I choose to play it untransposed, so it sounds a step lower than the Cello. Why? Because I like playing the Low C on my bass clarinet…which has the same open sound as the open C string on the cello.)
easy to get. By the way Michael, my mouth is not turned off, but my brain is definitely overloaded.
Love playing the Bach Courante. Your site is an oasis for us clarinet folk especially those of the bass persuasion.
Thanks for all you do Michael it is Greatly appreciated!! I've recommended your site to others. Keep in up!!
Amazing music, and a good chance to practice reading bass clef!
Great piece of music and it is even free! Since I have little experience with bass clef notation, I need to sit down and learn to read it. It would be great if a treble clef version would be available.
Excellent Video Instruction!!!
