Ok, this K&M stand is really, really niche, but it's the only game in town (and SUPER smart) when it's the stand you need.
Who needs this stand? Anyone who plays onstage with a band (think: rock band, not Sousa band). This clarinet stand clamps on a microphone stand, above the fray of mic cables, stage dudes, bandmates, adoring fans, and small rodents. Situations where a regular clarinet stand will get knocked over, or possibly eaten, the K&M Clarinet clamp stand elevates your instrument just enough to keep it safe.
It can also clamp onto a music stand — though I recommend you do that only if you're playing standing up (i.e., when the music stand desk is pulled up), because otherwise there is limited clearance between your mouthpiece and the stand desk when it the desk is in the "down position." That said, I experimented; your clarinet is slightly more accessible when you position the clarinet clamp in front of the music stand. You can see in the photo where I've rotated the stand forward, instead of to the side of the music stand.
