Vandoren Leather Bb Clarinet Ligature

Note: This is a Bb Clarinet Ligature.

This is an interesting ligature. Like a Rovner, it's leather. Like a Vandoren Optimum, it's got interchangeable plates. I play it on and off, because one of the more interesting plates is brown cowhide. (The other plates are interesting, too, but the leather one produces a pretty cool response). It definitely produces a darker sound than the metal ligatures, and the response is a bit less pingy. Like, I'd totally use this for Mozart chamber music.

It's a great piece to have in your kit, even if you "don't need another damn ligature" because, 1) it's interesting, 2) it's pretty cheap, 3) it is a different sound than you may be used to getting, 4) you love trying out new gear.
