Earspasm Premium Bass Clarinet Reed Case

Does the job perfectly fine

I’m a grown up who was in band during middle and high school. I played alto and then bass clarinet. I am a bit of an organizational mess, so I wanted something that would hold the many reeds I have in rotation and prevent me from accidentally destroying them. This box does that, and at the same time, it is beeeeee-yooootiful. Beautiful wood, gorgeous stain, lovely appointments.and the velvet is plush and thick.

I like this reed case. It is well made, stays closed and is easy to open with one hand. It is great to always have nice flat reeds at hand when I need them!

(Roughly 3 weeks post package-arrival) High quality materials, feels like it will serve well for a good 15+ years if taken care of properly. Holds cane reeds quite snug, but I find my Legere synthetics sliding around freely and sometimes knocking the cane reeds around in the case.

Suggestion: maybe add a lip at the bottom (or inset the flat part slightly and lower the above fabric) so the reeds won't slide out if you accidentally tilt the case while changing reeds during rehearsal.

Nice wood, nice magnetic closure. Does exactly what it says.

This is a well-designed and functional reed case. Perfect for bass clarinet and tenor saxophone reeds. My one niggle about it is that Legere reeds flop around a little inside. Other than that, thumbs-up.

This reed case was an upgrade to what my bass clarinet playing daughter was using. Great quality product and good looking!

I love this case, it has strong magnets and is high quality. However, I had to put my reeds in upside down to prevent them from jostling around unlike shown in the picture. Overall solid and just great reed case!

I use tenor reeds, and there’s almost room for six.

This reed case is great, and one of the best cases I can find to store synthetic bass clarinet reeds. However, the magnet isn't very strong - I've opened my bass case a few times to find the reed case open and my reeds falling out. Manageable after keeping the reed case within a similarly-sized plastic bag.

Very well constructed ... Hinges are solid and the magnetic closure is strong so it doesn't open unexpectedly. I love the cherry colored finish and look forward to using it for many years.

Product is excellent quality; however it is quite bigger than I expected and it does not fit in my Yamaha student bass clarinet case. But fortunately the size allows me to fit contrabass reeds, which thankfully extends their way-too-short lifespans. Would definitely recommend for every contra player (and other low reeds), just make sure you have plenary of room for it in your case!

This is a beautiful wooden Reed Case at excellent price. I love it.
