The Uebel Superior Eb clarinet is a great addition to the (admittedly small) Eb clarinet market.
Now, before I go any further, full disclosure: I am not a great Eb clarinet player. Fortunately, Katherine (my partner & wife) is an Eb clarinet specialist. Thank goodness. My fingers are too big for me to comfortably play most Eb clarinets without hitting the damn fork keys. This clarinet is better for me, and for those with bigger finger pads, since the fork keys are placed in a way where I don't hit them — at least not as often. But, enough about my anatomy.
The Uebel Eb clarinet has a nice, full, sweet sound—not shrill or thin. Uebel has also added an additional tone hole attached to the D/A ring that helps improve the intonation of the E, F and F# throat tones. The left-pinky Ab/Eb key is also very welcome.

Q: Does the instrument come with a warranty?
A: Yes, it comes with the standard Uebel 5-year warranty against cracks, and 2 years for mechanical issues. If you ever have any problem with the instrument, I'm your quarterback. I'll take care of the whole process, just let me know you need help, and I'll take it from there.
Q: What happens if it's damaged during shipping?
A: Inspect the package before you sign off at delivery! If there are any issues resulting from shipping, we have taken out an insurance policy to cover damage (and loss). But we need you to document this damage or we can't do anything to help. Please read my trial policy for how to handle this issue, should it arise.
Q: If I decide to return it, do also I have to pay return shipping costs?
A: Yes. And you will also want to insure it!
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, but please contact me first for the shipping cost. I will adjust the cost based on your actual address. International shipping costs vary, and range between $300-500 USD. Please note that you will be responsible for any Customs Duties.
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Uebel superior Eb is a wonderful instrument! I was borrowing a colleagues old Buffet R13 when I bought this and IMO, the Uebel offers a far more warm sound and more even intonation - it's still an Eb (I did not compare it to a new R13 nor the mopane). I think the pinky key placement will take some getting used to and I have never have been a fan of the LH Ebc but nothing feels awkward and the instrument arrived fully set up and in 100% working condition. I was pleasantly surprised that the sliver keys feel easy to use in both hands! It comes with a 43 and 44 barrel, which I though may be too long but to me they feel like the necessary length. Also, the leather case cover and accessory bag are a nice, high quality addition. Finally, Michael and Katherine were very responsive, flexible and prompt in all communications and shipping.
